Aster Grid and USD1 RWA rewards: two different scorecards

Aster’s Grid campaign pays ASTER, while USD1 RWA Boost distributes WLFI and USD1. The eligible fills, collateral tests and claim rules differ.

Grid 2.0: dates, qualifying trades and the pool conflict

Grid mining runs from 28 September 2026 at 00:00 UTC to 25 October at 23:59 UTC. The launch announces up to 140,000 ASTER, with a 10,000 weekly base. Current docs instead show 50,000/40,000/30,000/20,000 weekly allocations. The sources agree on the campaign but not that funding presentation.

Only designated Grid 2.0 pairs qualify. Maker and taker volume receive equal weight in hourly allocations. For example, a bot with no eligible fills contributes no volume, regardless of how long it runs.

RWA Boost: two pools and a collateral test

Phase 1 spans 31 August 2026 at 00:00 UTC through 31 December at 23:59:59 UTC: 125 million WLFI and 6.25 million USD1 across 18 epochs. These are programme totals, not individual awards.

USD1 rewards follow eligible taker trading scores; WLFI follows position scores. Multi-Asset accounts need more than 50% USD1 collateral. Main and Grid accounts are tested separately, so moving margin can change eligibility. Rewards expire if unclaimed two weeks after availability.

The new net-position rule changes hedged scoring

The 28 September update uses net position per pair for Hedge Mode from epoch 5, affecting open-interest points and the daily trading multiplier. Equal opposing positions therefore cannot be assessed by simply adding both sides.

RWA perpetual fees are currently zero for makers and 0.0125% for takers. Hypothetically, $10,000 of taker execution incurs $1.25 trading fees before funding or other costs. Maker fills can earn Grid rewards, but do not earn RWA Trading Points.

Trade & Earn has a separate entry threshold

The ongoing collateral programme requires at least $50,000 weekly trading volume across two days for trading rewards. USDF balances counted for those rewards are capped at 100,000 per account; deposit rewards require more than 1 USDF. These conditions should be checked separately from either competition. A qualifying Grid fill does not establish that every collateral-reward condition has been met.
