Which threshold applies?
This week’s six eligible pairs use per-market thresholds. At $100k/$200k, the boost is 1.05×/1.10×. At $400k/$1m, CADUSD and JPYUSD offer 1.25×/1.50×; EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD and NZDUSD offer 1.20×/1.30×. The highest unlocked factor covers eligible weekly activity.
Splitting $60k and $40k between two pairs therefore does not reach a $100k threshold.
Put the fee bill next to the points score
Hibachi’s published entry fee tier is zero maker and 0.045% taker, with tiers based on rolling 14-day volume. A hypothetical $100,000 of taker fills therefore costs $45 in trading fees at that tier, before spread, holding costs or price changes.
That is a cost illustration, not a prediction of the reward’s value. If the eventual benefit of points is unknown, a spreadsheet should keep it in a separate column rather than subtract an invented dollar figure from a known fee bill. Use the fee quoted for your FX account; this example does not establish one rate for every product.
Use the right account and trading session
FX positions use a separate FX subaccount; the available FX pairs share cross margin within it. These markets pause over the weekend from Friday 17:00 ET to Sunday 17:00 ET, after a short risk-maintenance period.
A practical record should include the pair, qualifying week, actual filled volume, fee paid and account used. Check those fields before comparing your progress with a campaign threshold. A wallet’s overall activity and the campaign’s qualifying activity are not interchangeable.
Keep a record that survives the next update
Save the dated rules beside the activity log. After the distribution, compare the result with the score you expected and note any adjustment. The aim is to make the next decision using an actual cost and allocation history.
A larger number in a points dashboard can be a useful record of participation. It still needs a separately documented reward mechanism before it can be entered as cash in a profit calculation.
