Perpl Purple Summer: mPoints and Perpl Points explained

Two balances run in parallel, but only the Purple Summer mPoints rules describe a share of the MON campaign pool.

What the mPoints balance represents

Purple Summer began on 8 July for sixteen weeks. Its $500,000 base MON reward pool can increase to $1 million if platform activity unlocks additional tranches. The program allocates one million mPoints across weekly trading and other activities.

At a hypothetical final share of 0.1%, the two pool endpoints imply $500 or $1,000 respectively. That arithmetic assumes the stated share and a finalized pool; neither follows from a wallet’s current rank.

Why the second points number is different

The regular Perpl Points program has its own 50,000-point weekly pool. Its rules describe organic trading and referrals, while PLP participation is still marked as forthcoming. Wednesday activity snapshots are followed by distribution within 48 hours.

A useful personal log gives each ledger a separate column with its snapshot period. This prevents a common accounting error: applying the MON campaign’s conversion logic to every point shown in the app. The two programs can reward overlapping activity without creating identical claims.

A volume target also creates a fee budget

Perpl’s published first tier is 0.45 basis points maker and 3.45 basis points taker below $5 million in fourteen-day volume. At an unchanged taker rate, a hypothetical $100,000 of total fills costs $34.50. That is before funding, network costs or trading PnL.

Count both entries and exits in the cost record. Maker orders can have different fees, but an order left on the book is not a guarantee of a fill. A reward estimate should not quietly assume every trade receives the cheapest execution.

The dates still leave a claim question

Sixteen weeks from 8 July reaches 28 October; no exact closing or claim-opening timestamp is supplied.

Keep the campaign deadline, latest distribution and claim availability as separate checks. When a program ends, preserve the final balance and the rules used to calculate it. A duration-based countdown cannot establish that a reward claim is ready.
