Weekly points continue into Q4
Variational’s 24 September announcement sets a Q4 token-event target and continues 150,000 weekly points until then. It describes a 32% genesis allocation, with eligibility from one point and acceptance of token terms. No exact event date or token price is supplied.
The weekly calendar remains precise: distribution is Friday 00:00 UTC, covering activity through Thursday 00:00 UTC. A Thursday trade therefore belongs to the next measurement period rather than the Friday immediately after it.
Which new traders can receive the extra points?
The separate On-Chain Trader offer targets selected addresses whose owners have never onboarded another wallet. Assigned tiers require $1M–$50M turnover for 20–3,000 points. Its advertised USDC rewards belong to qualifying referrers. Remaining capacity has not been verified.
This is a targeted onboarding campaign, so an existing Omni account cannot assume the same milestones apply to it.
The swaps contest has a different closeout
The $20,000 swaps competition ended on 24 September. It required at least $250,000 eligible TradFi volume; winners must complete KYC within 30 days of its end. The rules allow payment within a week after verification. The linked programme cards retain the relevant dates and status.
What the reward does—and does not—offset
Omni lists no trading commission, but spreads and funding remain. A points balance is therefore useful alongside execution history, not as a replacement for it. For a hypothetical round trip, the difference between the executable entry and exit prices still affects the result even when the commission line reads zero.
