What it does
DefiLlama brings protocol and chain metrics into a shared research interface. Its coverage includes total value locked, fees, revenue, exchange volumes, stablecoin supply and yields. This makes it possible to compare different parts of DeFi using a consistent set of dashboards.
The data is backed by open-source adapters and published methodology. Definitions still matter: chain TVL, protocol TVL and bridge balances are not interchangeable, and the methodology contains explicit exclusions. A chart is a starting point for investigation rather than a measure of a protocol's safety.
