What it does
edgeX combines a trading interface with infrastructure designed specifically for exchange execution. Its current documentation describes edgeVM for perpetuals, edgeEVM for general applications and separate processing lanes for latency-sensitive orders and slower operations.
Those architectural goals do not tell you the cost of an individual trade. Check the order preview, funding and withdrawal conditions, then review reward eligibility separately. Older points-season articles are especially easy to confuse with the current Trade to Earn program, which has liquid and locked reward components.
Where it stands out

Who’s behind it
The edgeX project publishes product and infrastructure documentation under its own name. Individual founders and the current legal operating entity were not established in the sources reviewed for this profile.
Fees & availability
Fees and costs
Market and account fee schedules apply. Trade to Earn returns a variable portion of eligible fees; it should not be interpreted as a blanket reduction in the initial trading charge.
Eligibility and availability
Review the current geographic and account terms. Locked EDGE requires additional qualifying activity to unlock, and market losses can exceed any rebate.
