What it does
MetaMask Card links a self-custodial wallet to Mastercard payments. Users enable supported tokens and set spending permissions; when a payment is made, the permitted tokens are converted into fiat. The documented networks are Linea, Base, Solana and Monad, with token and regional differences.
The card adds a separate onboarding and payments relationship managed by Crypto Life. It requires identity verification, and available tiers and networks depend on location. At the review date, the official guide says new sign-ups are temporarily paused in the United States and United Kingdom; existing cardholders can continue using their cards.
