Extended points and the September RWA competition: the rules that apply

Extended’s continuing points programme and its dated USDC contest reward different things. The current points documentation also supersedes an older Telegram summary.

Which points rules are current?

The current document allows up to 600,000 points weekly without a minimum commitment. Eligible trading, liquidity, referrals and other contributions may count; the detailed allocation is discretionary. No point-to-token conversion is confirmed.

A 9 September Telegram post described a 70 million lifetime cap and a 500,000 weekly floor. The current documentation explicitly takes precedence over social updates. That makes the newer rules the useful reference when interpreting an account’s next distribution.

The contest has a fixed window and cash prizes

The RWA competition runs from 15 September 2026 at 00:00 UTC to 29 September at 00:00 UTC. Its 50,000 USDC pool goes to 100 winners; the official announcement confirms the denomination. The Program status panel shows the catalogue status when you read this.

This prize table belongs to the dated contest. It is not a redemption table for Extended points.

What actually changes the competition score?

The formula is PnL multiplied by the fourth root of weighted volume times time-weighted open interest. Taker fills count fully and maker fills at half weight; negative PnL scores zero. Accounts with elevated API limits are excluded, and institutional or market-making accounts may also be excluded.

An illustrative consequence: with PnL and average open interest unchanged, multiplying weighted volume by sixteen only doubles the score. This is a fourth-root calculation, so turnover does not translate proportionally into rank.
