Two ways to qualify
Competition 10 combines a volume pool of up to $120,000 with a $10,000 PnL pool. Volume participation requires $10,000 traded; PnL ranking requires a maintained $250 balance. The earning window ends on 30 September at 16:00 UTC.
Those minimums establish eligibility, not a return on deposited capital. The same wallet can have substantial qualifying volume while still losing money overall.
Work out the share before valuing the headline
The previous round also used pro-rata volume allocation. That design gives a simple way to test an estimate: take a hypothetical 0.02% share of a hypothetical $100,000 released pool. It produces $20 before costs. Doubling your own qualifying volume would not double the payout if the rest of the field doubled its volume too.
This is an allocation example, not a forecast of Competition 10’s final numbers. A live leaderboard is a moving denominator; the headline cap alone cannot price a participant’s activity.
Fees and funding belong in separate columns
Katana’s fee documentation applies the lowest available rate across exchange, market and wallet settings. That wording should not be read as permission to stack every discount. Competition 10 advertises half-price trading fees.
Funding is a separate transfer at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC. For an existing position, the approaching competition finish can therefore coincide with a funding boundary. Use the actual market rate and position state when reviewing costs; the competition discount does not remove the holding mechanism.
Review the outcome after the window closes
Separate the reward calculation from the trading result. Record the final qualifying activity, announced allocation and payout actually received, then reconcile them with fees and PnL. This keeps a profitable campaign allocation from disguising an unprofitable set of trades.
The linked campaign card records the dated rules and current status; the official page remains the reference for eligibility review.
