Choose the deployment before comparing rewards
Robinhood’s documentation describes an independent Lighter instance with its own contracts, sequencing and liquidity. That separation matters for incentives: a familiar brand name does not make every trade eligible for every program.
Keep the venue, interface and campaign in separate columns when tracking activity. A Core trade, a Robinhood Wallet trade and a VEX-routed trade can look similar economically while satisfying different participation rules.
The Premium trial reimburses a specific expense
The welcome offer covers eligible Premium fees during the first week after signup, up to $10 million of combined maker and taker volume. It is a refund process, not a deposit bonus. Weekly payouts and a minimum payment amount apply.
The 4 September update allows certain early referral-code changes, whereas older documentation says codes cannot be changed. Do not interpret the update as a fresh seven-day trial every time a code is changed. Check the account’s displayed eligibility and clock.
Robinhood Chain points are a continuing program
Lighter reported a 90,000-point distribution on 25 September. Robinhood’s launch announcement describes an 11 million LIT community pool and a Wallet multiplier relative to the web interface. The pool is denominated in tokens; it is not an $11 million cash budget.
A points balance is still subject to the integrity rules. Artificial volume and attempts to manipulate scoring can be excluded retrospectively. Recent posts mention hedging activity, but their changing wording is not a published permanent 2.5× entitlement. A strategy should make sense without assigning an invented price to each point.
VEX adds a separate, time-limited leaderboard
The VEX arena closes on 16 October at 11:00 UTC. Only qualifying Robinhood Chain trades routed through VEX count; Core trades are excluded. Participants need at least $20,000 verified volume and a top-20 finish. The reward pool can grow from $500 to $5,000 USDC with aggregate volume, so the maximum is not a promised payout.
Check the organizer’s live rules before relying on a particular distribution among winners. Reaching the participation threshold and earning a reward are separate outcomes.
Add the route-specific costs before counting rewards
VEX’s published release notes disclose a 10 bps perpetual integrator fee. At $20,000 of chargeable volume, that fee alone is $20, before exchange charges, funding or changes in the position’s value. This calculation illustrates cost, not the expected result of entering the competition.
Do not assume incentives stack. Lighter’s referral rules exclude trades with non-zero partner-attribution fees, and the welcome offer’s applicability to the separate Robinhood instance has not been established here. Treat a rebate, a points estimate and a competition prize as different entries in the ledger; only a credited payment is a realized reward.
